Eaton House School, Main House

30 June 2016 | Sectors | Civil, Civil Featured, Education, Residential

After objections were raised by Planners on a submission to convert the roof of the existing listed structure, the team looked to use an under used space in a courtyard behind the main terrace to provide much needed office and administration space.

The structure is steel framed supported on four columns with concrete upper floors.  The first floor was constructed over a holiday period so the school could continue below through one of the main arteries of the site.

The external cladding is lightweight with a living green wall system to the main elevation.  Irrigated with a suds drainage system underground water store.
