CTP has recently been engaged to inspect and advise on the condition of Torquay Pavilion, a Grade II listed building of immense presence, clad in glazed white faience. It served as a much-loved seafront theatre in the post-war era but has more recently fallen into disrepair, with widespread water penetration and structural corrosion. Our work also looked at the history of defects, causes of decay and offered solutions for re-detailing of rainwater collection.
A Listed Building Consent application has now been lodged for further investigations.
