Following several delays, due to significant design revisions and more recently Covid-19, progress is being made on site by our Client, Coleman and James.
Prior to the ‘lockdown’, work had commenced on the new car park extension, where existing tennis courts were situated. These were handed over just before ‘lockdown’.
Since lockdown was lifted, Coleman and James have made sterling efforts to recover some of the lost time with clever use of the available areas to maximise resources on the site, whilst still observing all social distancing rules.
Additional welfare facilities have also been provided to each separate area of working to enable its staff to regularly wash their hands without mixing with other parts of the site.
The kerbing and drainage to the main upper car park is nearing completion, in order that tarmac contractors can complete their work prior to handling the next phase to the end client, Dartford Borough Council.
