CTP Heritage enjoyed attending the Ramsgate Society evening talk on Radford House, presented by Standard Heritage and APCost Consultants on 20th January 2023.
Radford House is Grade II listed and dates to the early 18th Century. Previously Effingham Manor, it was converted to serve the community as a Fire Station at the beginning of the 20th Century. Its relatively recent closure in 2019 to relocate to a newer, better facilitated station has provided a chance to use it more broadly for the community going forward. It is Grade II listed, due to it representing a well preserved fire station of 1905, retaining a range of distinct features from the early 18th and 20th Centuries.
CTP Heritage look forward to working with the excellent and empathetic team in repairing and breathing new life into the building, whilst exploring its rich history and significant community story along the way. Judging by the local community turn out for the talk, this is a very much loved landmark building!
