Rochester Cathedral

22 June 2020 | Sectors | Heritage Featured, Structural

Work has re-commenced in churches and cathedrals. Scaffolding has just been erected in the quire and south transept of Rochester Cathedral to grout and repoint cracks in the chalk vaulting, which are the earliest in England.

CTP is working with architect, Thomas Ford and Partners. Grouting trials are in progress in the site yard, as a prelude to working at height.
