Heritage

Our heritage specialists tackle projects holistically. We have tremendous experience in both the repair of existing structures and the insertion of new facilities. We speak the language of conservation.

To work on historic buildings with sensitivity is a vocation; it is something learnt through commitment. Equally we understand that conservation is about the management of change, and embrace goals that give a building new life through new functions.

Our team is led by a Conservation Accredited Engineer.  We work across boundaries: through inspection and survey, through design and construction, with building structures and site infrastructure. Our engineers have provided solutions to defects that are the result of pioneering early use of materials, such as at the Royal Brighton Pavilion.  We provide new facilities for old sites such as at Polesden Lacey for the client, the National Trust.
