Brighton Museum & Art Gallery is a fine Grade II* listed building situated in the heart of the city, amongst an outstanding collection of nationally important buildings; the Brighton Dome and Royal Pavilion.

Formerly stables for the Royal Pavilion Estate, the building dates back to circa 1804. Approximately 60 years later the complex was adapted to its current use.

CTP are proud to be providing specialist heritage engineering services for the glass roof and ceiling laylight to the central gallery, which require essential work to safeguard the historic fabric, protect the museum collections and improve the visitor experience.

Working closely with the conservation architect, CTP are responsible for the careful assessment and sensitive strengthening and repair of the existing timber roof structure to accommodate the upgraded, heavier roof construction.
