Clapham Park Regeneration, London

The regeneration of the existing housing estate in Clapham, South London, will provide 2532 new homes for rent and private sale. CTP were appointed by Countryside Properties to deliver the first two phases of their new Partnership with the Metropolitan Housing Association.

Site B01 consists of three reinforced concrete framed buildings varying in height up to 6 storeys and will deliver 97 units. The site is bounded by an adjacent school and nursery and a new public road will be constructed through the development to improve connectivity across the estate.

Site C01 will deliver 423 units and consists of 8 RC framed buildings varying in height from 9 to 10 storeys. The buildings are arranged with a central common podium at first floor level and an under-croft car park below. There is a three storey Energy Centre within the building, on the north elevation, that incorporates two substations that will service the whole development.

CTP have provided civil engineering and structural engineering services for the detailed design of the project and incorporated an extensive value engineering exercise to deliver affordability to the scheme during a period of significant uplift in material costs.

The whole project team have collaborated to deliver the project to BIM Level 2, utilising Revit for the substructure and superstructure. The civils elements consisting of below ground drainage, roads and hard landscape were modelled in Civils 3D. Clash detection was managed through BIMCollab, to ensure all disciplines were coordinated.
