CTP provide marine and river engineering design services. CTP were commissioned to design a replacement steel sluice gate by Martin Childs Ltd, working with the Environment Agency.

CTP were commissioned to design a replacement steel sluice gate at South Ferriby Sluice, as one of the existing gates had become damaged by vessel impact. The existing sluice gate was removed and a detailed dimensional survey was carried out by CTP along with the steel fabricator.

CTP carried out the following works:

• Site visits to carry out a detailed measured survey of the existing sluice gate.
• Detailed design and drawings of the replacement new sluice gate, incorporating the existing restrictions.
• CTP also designed a replacement access ladder.
