Stones Farm RM1C and RM2, Sittingbourne
The proposed development at Stones Farm, Sittingbourne has provided 287 much needed affordable homes for the local community in Sittingbourne split over two phases.
CTP provided full Civil Engineering services on this project including:
- Detailed design of proposed levels
- Below ground drainage
- External works design
- Conveyance and management plans
The external levels design was carefully considered throughout the project to reduce the height and extent of retaining features and to meet the requirements for accessible units as stipulated within Building Regulations Part M.
CTP Consulting Engineers also undertook a detailed earthworks modelling exercise for the RM2 Phase to accurately calculate the volume of spoil generated by the development. This assisted in setting of site levels to ensure cut and fill volumes were minimised leading to a sustainable and cost-effective design solution.
The RM2 phase is being constructed directly adjacent to an existing railway line and we have provided the required input, drawings and liaison related to this to seek BAPA approval from Network Rail.
